Job Position: Embarkable Support Manager
Job Location: NAS North Island, CA
Description:
Provide operational support services to the Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific Fleet.
Task and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the deployment and integration of Air Wing Embarkable Information Systems into a Shipboard Network System (ISNS, CANES, etc.) and non-Navy network environments.
- Coordinate the deployment and migration of Air Wing organizational data using Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices.
Perform Information System assists/assessments on all afloat and shore activities
Manage and track deployable Information System hardware and software requirements
Maintain the IT Lifecycle Management tracker for deployable Technical Training Equipment (TTE), applications, databases, legacy networks, and servers. - Coordinate NMCI Pack Up Kit (PUK) delivery and replenishment for deploying/deployed commands
Coordinate MAC submissions for deployable hardware swap (Hard Drives) to refresh software and security patching. Each MAC must be submitted IAW NMCI Guide to Deploy process timelines when returning from deployment to the NMCI environment
Coordinate security scans for deployable Information Systems re-joining the Ashore Enterprise Network
Conduct deployable planning meetings for each CCSGs, CVWs, and squadrons 90, 60, 30, and 5 days prior to scheduled deployment.
Provide input and annual reviews to CNAP Deployable Instruction and Deployable Checklist for all IT services and systems requirements to embark during deployments (JMPS, NALCOMIS).
Coordinate and conduct onsite training for Network Attach Storage (NAS) shore requirements, update and maintain NAS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Participate in the COMNAVAIRPAC N62 in the Embarkable Working Group - Validates and reviews Carrier (CVN) and CVW Memorandum of Agreement in Support of (ISO) CVW Information Systems.
- Validate and ensure Type Wing N6 has permission to all UIC’s associated to their Commands of Responsibility Deployable Management Tool (DMT) application.
- Monitor Naval Message for CVW’s request for support pre-embarkation, deployed, and post-embarkation and coordinate support.
- Coordinate with PMW-160 Embarkation Ships Integrations Team.
- Provide oversight to personnel operation under CNAP with regards to the Embarkable Program.
- Pass communication and guidance to Type Wing personnel for Embarkable updates and status.
- Assist PMW-160 Embarkable Team with CSG/CVW/Squadron NMCI/One-Net integration t provide structure Internet Protocol (IP) address scheme bases on address issue to ship.
- Assist and coordinate with PMW-160 Embarkables Team with connection of network devices.
- Assist and coordinate with PMW-160 Embarkables Team with NMCI & One-Net workstations and servers.
- Assist and coordinate with Embarkables Team with establishment of domain trust between shop and Embarkable or staff domain.
- Assist with the integration of Legacy or Optimized NALCOMIS host to the CANES network, mid-tier, and IMA.
- Compile After Action Report (AAR).
- Assists the ship with LAN problems related to the embarkation process.
- Provide underway support.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Must be U.S. Citizenship
- Current DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or an equivalent bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, Embarkable Support Manager shall have one of the following certifications to comply with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570.01-M IAT Level II Baseline Certification requirements: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP.
- Shall have five (5) years Navy or equivalent experience working with the following:
- Project Management
- Navy deployment and / or training scheduling
- Navy Operational Readiness
- Strategy and Risk Assessment
- Navy Enterprise Networks
- Navy Carrier Air Wing IT Asset system integration to Consolidated Afloat Network
- Navy Command Structure
- Navy’s Deployment Management Tool (DMT)
- Extensive knowledge and experience coordinating with Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) Program Manager Warfare (PMW) Offices to include PMW-160 (Tactical Networks Program Office) and PMW-205 (Naval Enterprise Networks)
- Aviation Operations and Training Readiness knowledge highly recommended.
- Proficient using MS Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook)
- Excellent problem solving, decision-making and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service as well as written and oral communication
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team player
Position type: Full Time – Exempt
Pay Range: $117,776-$153,113 per year
Hours to Work: Monday through Friday
