Job Position: Secretary II
Job Location: NAS Jacksonville, FL (VUP-19)
Summary:
The Secretary II will function as a Special Security Representative (SSR) and will be responsible for assisting in the daily management and implementation of Special Compartmented Information (SCI) security and administrative functions within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). This role involves supporting military senior leaders in SCI program management, policy development, planning, and operational integration. The SSR will coordinate with parent Special Security Offices as needed and provide guidance to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Planning, scheduling, coordinating, carrying out, and monitoring the effectiveness of the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Personnel Security program.
- Managing the SCI nomination process for selected applicants.
- Providing administrative SCI Security support for cleared personnel, including but
not limited to visit certifications, managing Access Control program, processing of foreign contacts, foreign travel, and other appropriate day-to-day security support to SCIF operations. - Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the PAE3 and Site Manager.
Qualifications:
- Must have a current TOP SECRET Clearance
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong attention to details and organization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships, professional demeanor, and attitude.
- Must be dependable.
- Knowledge of Navy correspondence and records management procedures and Navy squadron organizational structure/relationships is preferred however knowledge of correspondence and record management procedures used by Department of Defense (DoD) components other than the U.S. Navy are acceptable.
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking
Work Environment
May be required to work in areas in or near a hangar/ flight line that may be noisy at times. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing thru a hazardous area.

Compensation and Benefits:
Position type: Full Time
Classification: Non-Exempt
Hours to Work: Monday through Friday, eight (8) hours per day. Evenings or weekends may be required as job duties demand. Hours are subject based on the needs of the squadron.
Pay Rate: $21.57 per hour
Health and Welfare Benefit: $4.93 per hour
